Marketing 5It’s tempting to start throwing a lot of money towards marketing your real estate business. Though it takes money to make money, there are certain things you can do to market yourself and your brand with very little or no money at all.

Marketing is not always about spending money. A lot comes down to creativity. Here are three great ways you can begin to get the word out about your services:

  1. Guest-Post. Look for an online or print publication you can write for. Consider local and smaller publications, websites and blogs who are looking for fresh and unique content, such as a local newspaper. Consumers naturally trust published authors, since it is assumed authors are experts in their field. Remember, don’t make it about selling your services, but rather about content. That’s what publications are looking for. Also, you will want to ensure you hire a professional proofreader before you submit any blogs or articles.
  1. Cold Call Potential Leads. Though you may know someone, if you haven’t reached out to them in a longtime, they could be considered a cold call. Identify acquaintances with whom you haven’t spoken to in a while and give them a call. Look for those who respond and like your social media posts. Simply call to see how they are doing and how you can help them. Ask if they are thinking about, or know someone, who is considering a real estate move in the near future.
  1. Attend Events as Your Brand. Look for networking, neighborhood or community events that you can attend (or possibly purchase a booth). You want to find events where you might meet potential clients. Attend as your brand by wearing a nametag, branded hat or shirt. Have some great looking resources to distribute that are simple to understand and that highlight your services.

The most important thing to remember is to make sure you input every contact into your CRM. Make sure to include everything you can remember about your conversation and set an alert to follow up with them.
